 E-SENIORS Association - FRANCE

The E-SENIORS Association is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to support the development of ICT-training for seniors and persons with disabilities. To achieve this objective, it has chosen an essentially bottom-up approach, where initiatives are carried out in accordance with user needs and tested in the field. Underlying this approach, particularly in developing and building upon existing networks, is the triangular symbiosis among users, researchers and producers. The main activity of the association is the creation of a network uniting seniors (autonomous and dependent) with family members, caregivers and service providers.

Some of our most important activities include:

conducting experimental active-aging workshops promoting the use of digital technologies in the development of physical and cognitive games, both in order to bring about self-improvement and to enhance intergenerational communication; creating online networks of participative health including patients, professionals and family carers; teaching the teachers about our know-how in terms of organizing activities for active aging, and; creating, leading and animating networking activities to promote the use and the accessibility of ICTs for elderly and people with disabilities in civil society as well as in the scientific, medical, and industrial world.
